What is monitor and type of it.

Do you know what is a computer monitor ? Perhaps you must have heard about it. Because all of us are very familiar with these computer monitors.

We spend most of our time sitting in front of these monitors, such as gaming, watching movies and many other things. In the same way, the monitor is used as a display unit in the computer system.

A good display can have a huge impact on any user’s experience. Due to innovation in display technologies, the qualities of display devices have also improved a lot.
Right now, desktop computers are available in a variety of different technologies, ranging from CRT monitors to the latest slim LCD, LED and OLED monitors, etc.
There are many parameters to measure the performance of a monitor such as luminance, contrast ratio, resolution, dot pitch, response time, refresh rate and power consumption.
Together, the common problems that often arise in monitors are dead pixels, blurred screen, phosphor-burn etc. That’s why today I thought why not inform people about what is a monitor .
With this you will also be able to know the things that you did not know. Then without delay, let’s start and know about Computer Monitor in Hindi.

What is Monitor

A computer monitor is actually an output device which is technically called a visual display unit . It is an output device that shows all the information of the CPU in the Monitor Screen. It is like an interface between the CPU and the user.
A cable is connected with the video adapter or with the video card which is set up with the motherboard of the computer.
Monitors look very similar with televisions. The main difference between these two is that there is no television tuner in the monitor to change the channels, whereas it is in the television.
Monitors have a higher display resolution than television. A high display resolution provides convenience for viewing small letters and fine graphics.
A monitor is known by the names of screen, display, video display, video display terminal, video display unit, or video screen etc.
Who Invented the Monitor?
The first cathode ray monitor was invented by Karl Ferdinand Braun in 1897 when he invented the first cathode ray tube.

What does Monitor do?

A computer monitor is a type of display adapter that displays information processed from the computer’s video card.
When a video card or graphics card converts binary information from 1s and 0s to images, then images can be displayed easily and directly in a connected monitor.
Therefore the main function of Computer Monitor is to display video and graphical information which is generated from the graphics adapter of the computer.
With this, it facilitates the user to interact with the computer. It is categorized according to an output device. A monitor is a very important part of the whole computer system. It is also sometimes called video display unit (VDU).
Types of computer monitors:

There are many types of Computer Monitors to use. Here I am going to tell about some such types of Monitors which were used earlier, some are still being used. Then let’s know more about them.
CRT Monitors
These monitors use a cathode ray tube to display images. A vacuum tube, heaters, electron guns, deflection circuits and a glass screen are used to construct this cathode ray tube.
When electrons are produced inside the cathode ray tube, the screen is then bombarded by these electrons, causing them to glow and produce images.
CRT monitors resemble older television sets. They are bulky and also consume a lot of energy together.
LCD Monitors
These LCD screens use monochrome pixels to project images. These pixels are arranged systematically between transparent electrodes and polarizing filters. Images form when pixels are polarized.
LCD monitors consume very little energy and provide very good graphics quality. Most of the computer monitors that we use now use Liquid Crystal Display. There is a range of screen sizes from 17 inches to 60 inches .
LED Monitors
LED monitors are the very latest types of monitors of the present time which are now available in the market. These are flat panel, or slightly curved displays that use light-emitting diodes for back-lighting, while cold cathode fluorescent (CCFL) back-lighting is used in LCDs.
LED monitors use very little power as compared to CRT or LCD. Apart from this, they are also more environmentally friendly.
Its advantages are that they produce images that have high contrast, and at the same time they do not cause much negative environmental impact when disposed of, and they are also more durable than CRT and LCD monitors. compared to.
Their design is also very thin. They do not generate much heat. The downside to this is that they are more expensive.
Plasma Monitors
Plasma technology Another latest technology is that of display devices. The basic idea behind this is that it illuminates the tiny colored fluorescent lights from which the image pixels are created.
In this, each pixel is made up of three fluorescent lights – which are red, green and blue lights. Which produces a variety of colors, as well as varies the intensity of these lights accordingly.
OLED Monitors
The full form of OLED is Organic Light Emitting Diode . This is also a latest technology of display devices. As the name suggests, it is made of organic materials (such as carbon, wood, plastic or polymers), and which are used to convert electric current into light.
Since these LEDs are capable of producing different colored light, they can be used directly to produce the correct color and also require no backlight which saves both power and space. .
With its fast response time, wide viewing angles, outstanding contrast levels and perfect brightness, these OLED displays are considered to be the best display technologies ever.
Latest Display Technology Advantages conventional display technologies :
Conventional Display Technologies have many functions, which can be accomplished by using the latest Display Technologies. Let us know about some such advantages.
Their fabrication process is very easy and the display devices are very slim as compared to conventional display devices.
Compared to LCD devices,
OLED displays can be viewed from different angles because they are ” emissive ” devices, meaning they emit light, not modulate transmitted or reflected light.
They do not use backlight.
Their driving voltage and total power consumption are very low as compared to other display technologies.
The materials used are eco-friendly and do not use lead or any such harmful materials.
